The ground rules
These are the terms for using builtwiththeo.com. They're short because the site is simple: it describes what I do, shows work I've done, and gives you two ways to reach me. Using the site means you're okay with what's below.
Who you're dealing with
tl;dr · one person · kansas city, mo
“BuiltWithTheo,” “I,” and “me” mean Theo, a solo automation studio based in Kansas City, Missouri. You can always reach the actual human at hello@builtwiththeo.com.
The free audit and mini-map
tl;dr · genuinely free · no obligation · general advice until we sign something
- The 20-minute audit and the emailed mini-map are free, and they create no obligation on either side. You keep the map whether or not we ever work together.
- What I say in an audit or sketch in a map is a good-faith starting point based on what you've told me, not a binding quote, a guarantee of results, or professional advice on legal, tax, or security matters.
- Numbers on this site (hours saved, lead growth, revenue figures) describe real past work. They're history, not a promise that your results will match.
Actual client work
tl;dr · separate written agreement per project · that agreement wins
If we decide to build something together, the engagement is governed by a written proposal and agreement we both sign: scope, price, timeline, ownership, the lot. If anything in that agreement conflicts with this page, the agreement wins. This page only governs the website.
Using this site
tl;dr · don't abuse the form · don't scrape or impersonate
Be a normal visitor. Specifically, don't:
- submit forms with spam, malware, or someone else's personal information;
- hammer the site or its form endpoint with automated traffic;
- impersonate me or present this site's content as your own.
Whose stuff is whose
tl;dr · site content is mine · client names are theirs
The writing, hand-drawn sketches, diagrams, and code that make up this site are mine. You're welcome to link to anything here or quote it with credit; please don't lift whole pages or the drawings for your own site. Client names and logos that appear here belong to those businesses and are shown with their permission.
No warranties, limited liability
tl;dr · site provided as-is · free info relied on at your own risk
The site is provided as-is. I work to keep everything on it accurate and running, but I can't promise it will always be available, error-free, or current. To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for damages arising from your use of the site or reliance on its free content. (Paid engagements handle liability properly, in the written agreement.)
Links elsewhere
tl;dr · other sites, other rules
The site links out to YouTube channels, client websites, and tools. I don't control those places and am not responsible for what happens there.
Governing law & changes
tl;dr · missouri law · changes move the date at the top
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA. If I change them, the “last updated” date at the top changes with them. No silent edits. Questions about any of this: email me. You'll get an answer from the person who wrote it.
